Who would have known that a six month home renovation project over a decade ago began a dream and a passion for making custom home decor from domestic and exotic woods. At the time I started I only owned five wood cutting tools in which I constructed my first project; a 150 gallon wooden fish tank. I was fascinated by the smell, the process, the attention to detail as I learned new ideas and techniques. I would find the excuse and the time to put any two pieces of wood together, and for years I considered it just a hobby, until two customers wanted custom tables. Making things for friends and family is one thing, making things for a paying customer is another. I must admit I was nervous at times during the builds. Everything had to be right and the customer had to not only be happy, but impressed. Needless to say both projects were a success and I never looked back or doubted my God given gift. They say that you never work a day in your life if you love what you do. I can’t tell you the last time I worked.
